I've just recieved an email confirming that for free of charge.... my 512k connection is being upgraded to a 1mb and that all 256 connections will be doubled to 512 and all 1mb connections will be doubled to 2mb..... all free of charge and no change in monthly payments..... AOL ARE GANGSTA....

Anyway, AOL is a rescource hog. For fucks sake, it's browser ends with .exe, how much more reason do you have to not want it?
I don't care about p2p, I buy my cds and whatnot, because I find piracy in large quantities highly disrespectful.
But it depends on the college, my college does it to protect themself from lawsuits. But simple ways around it if someone is off campus then send a file through AIM. Ya'll just rely to heavily on p2p networking when there are websites that have files and people willing to share.

The only problem with AOL is all of it's servers are busy, so the internet is always slow.

but i only use aol for email, i use mozilla for internet, or internet explorer if im lazy and want to surf at a faster speed.... slow as mozilla

nah here in england aol is just about the cheapest you can get... £20 a month for a 1meg connection is good value over here..... shit we pay £60 for a pair of Levi's.... thats nearly 100 dollars
