At night I see the stars and the crescent moon
Dark and quiet far out where the sun will rise soon
Wind blows by as the flowers dangle back and forth
The moon shines in the sky seen from south to north
The moon just sits there as you stare through the night
It moves farther away where your aware its out of sight
The crickets make noise and the birds lay asleep
The only moon to outshine stars daylight will creep
Sittin here observing nature's beauty is hardly seen
Written words describes the runaway moon's scene
Its as if my eyes are chasing the moon to come back
But it seems shy to expose the light that attracts
City lights ignore the poetry of nature through time
Its a pity we snore night away without the moon shine
I sit alone as clouds roll by this moon's appearance
Where cars are loud but trust nature's adherence
My eyes get tired sittin here bein half awake
Ignorance towards this night is a person's mistake
Resting my head slowly tilts down on my chest
Accessed the mind of mine where peace is at rest
Swallow a gulp look up again the moon seems to run
Follow me and my dreams are fake where theres no one
Seems again that the moon even ignores me
Shit bores me but this lifeless soul replies slowly
Skies get brighter and begins another day
The moon has left and there the moon ran away
