No it doesn't make the music wack, but it's shitty presentation and presentation counts for alot. If I see a wack amateurish corny horrible cover it automaticly makes me think, the artist himself is corny and amateurish. I mean if I don't already know better about the artist. The cover represents the music on the cd.
If I see Urkel on the cover with a mic I'm gon assume it's nerd rap or has something to do with nerdy shit.
Not saying I'm right, cuz judging by a cover is seldom right, but that's just how our minds work. See a fat bitch and you don't wonna fuck her lmao EVen though who knows she might have godly sex and head.

If you care enough about your work, make the package something to own. I'll buy some CD's based on whether I like the covers or not sometimes(SOMETIMES), if the music is good. It's a whole package, care enough about your craft to make it as presentable as possible. Shit, you learn this stuff in 9th grade finance.
