Introduction
Welcome to the 4th week's 1-2 Punch magazine. I'll cut right to it, I am only a fill in....CAS and Paramik were both demodded from this forum earlier this week and I'm considering the best possible options to replace them. As of now the likely choices are Blue Bayou or Warming......maybe both? Would they be willing? well that's entirely up to them...I haven't heard word from either even though both are popular in the 1-2 realm. As you guys can see this week was the start of contendership matches in 1-2 and as I promised when I took over a few weeks ago...next week will begin the rebirth of the 1-2 HW title match...which sadly went missing during a few seasons. I'm sure all of you have noticed the new rules I set in place....but for those of you that are just now arriving this week it's simple. Battles are now due on Friday instead of Saturday and check ins are now mandatory. Everything has been going smoothly so far....oh yeah! I forgot to mention...after this season ends THERE WILL BE A BREAK! I can't believe how 1-2 has surpassed LLL and SS in seasons when they were around before 1-2. Understandably 1-2 seasons seem to go by faster, but 1-2 is about 10 seasons ahead of SS and 7 ahead of LLL...that's a bit much and it's very telling to the fact that 1-2 seems to move seamlessly between seasons, it hurts the league doing that. Winner-Twixn with a complete vote sweep.
Turd's punch was a below average attempt at nameplay.
Twixn dropped a pretty good personal and was way more than enough to win.
Bartender vs. BigChase
Winner-Bartender
This battle was very blahh. Bartender has the potential to beat anybody in the league but dropped just an ok punch.
Chase HAD to explain his punch in order for people to get it, although it was still wack
Nemesis. vs. Satan
Winner- Nemesis in a close vote count.
This was a good battle.
Satan would of taken the win in the battle if he was a little bit more complex in his punch.
Nemesis had a good concept that beat Satan's childish rhyme.
.Bullet. vs. Cry
Winner- Cry with a complete vote sweep.
Cry had a funny nameplay punch, while Bullet tossed up a wack one.
Uben. Sonned vs. ...Dyagnawstic!
Winner-Dyagnawstic! with a complete vote sweep.
WEAK battle but Uben was just a tad bit weaker which gave the win to Dyag.
RicanTheoryz vs. White-Winter
Winner- White-Winter with a edge out win.
Both verses had similar concepts, so it came down to who had the better flip.
The voters decided that they like White's flip better than Rican's.
..Randomized.. vs. Advisory
Winner- Advisory with an edge out win
This was a close battle that showed that both competitors have some pretty good stuff.
Ad's punch was slightly more clever than Randoms though.
Mauvais Loup vs. Paradox
Winner-Mauvais Loup with a complete vote sweep
Mauv proved that he has some clever ways to trash ya name. He won easily.
Paradox sucked in this battle to say the least.
Sobe vs. Vaskez
Winner-Sobe slipped by this week with a win.
One of the closest battles of the week.
Vaskez threw a nice punch which didn't catch the voters eyes cuz of the length of his lines.
Sobe's punch was more direct, shorter, and too the point which attracted the voters towards him.
Blue Bayou vs. Idealistixx
Winner-Blue Bayou
Blue came out again proving he's the best 1-2 battler in the league.
Ideal seemed hurried which cost him this week.
Delah Cahjay vs. Martyr
Winner- Delah Cahjay sadly.
One of the worst punches of the week was still able to come out with a win.
This battle was pathetic on both sides of the battle.
Verbalism vs. Warming
Winner- Warming wins with a vote count of 5-4
Lack of voting could of changed the results of the battle.
But from the voters eyes, Warming edged this one out with THE closest battle of the week.
JChampiiion vs. Jesus
Winner-JChampiiion with a complete vote sweep.
Jesus threw a crap punch that would make the real Jesus himself resurrect from the dead again just to slap him.
JChampiiion threw an ok, but stretched punch and won easily.

Sorry guys, I dont do predictions....I'm a firm believer of don't assume until you know. So...what should I rant about this time....this is the best part of the mag you know? if you don't read it...you probably wont be enlightened much to realism. Hmm....here's a discussion to think about. Text Battling....now, I understand some people do it as a hobby and others are hungry for recognition...which is fine I used to be one of those types too. You won't get anywhere, not on RB, text battling....no recognition for you Blue, none for you Vas....Chrit? nah...people who have been doing this for years....will battle, over...and over and over...yeah, they'll get props for winning but nowadays it's not enough to just win anymore to get proper recognition and I know the problem. Wanna guess? Too much hype with not enough write....remember that, too much hype with not enough write. Now, what do I mean by this? it's simple....I'll use this last season of LLL that just ended as an example. Anyone remember anything specific from it? ...the mods did a great job in there this past season surely you can remember at least 5 battles that were not your own that were dope? The mods say it was a dope season....is it because....they ran it? Hmm...could be....let's take a look see, shall we? let's just take a look at the season 8 elite 8 roster...and the season 7 elite 8 roster...Season 8 had: John Hensley, Horud Skys, ...?..., $pitacular, Rule., Ancel, Bartender, and phlymo. Not a shabby list....Hensley is definitely good....question guy has shown he can at least make playoffs a few seasons in a row....dont care much for $pitty....Bartender has his ups and downs this year has obviously been an up year for him and phly...well we all know about him by now. But let's really look at this roster....too much hype...not enough write? You've got a biter ($pit), one nice writer (Hens), one good writer over the years (Bar), 3 new faces to playoffs (Rule, Horud, and phly), and 2 old ones that have never stood a chance to make a final thusfar (question and Ancel)....not that hot of a roster...but hey....I guess some people do buy into the hype. Season 7's elite 8? fine...Born To Kill, COM, Lay Doubt, Philly, SmokaJoka, Automatic., Advisory, $pitacular....jesus...if Feeble would've taken Advisory's place in this list...it'd look like a list of future and current legends...not a list of a playoff roster. What's the point of this you ask? this isn't a knock on Vaskez or Com...this is a knock on YOU...the writer....the writer who thinks all is well....it's not people. It's sad, it's pathetic...at the rate shit is going, it doesn't look bright....veterans are slacking, and up and comers are getting props for mediocre verses....it's not just text battlers...take a look across RB...you know what wins a topical battle in SS usually? rhymes....fucka a good story...if it rhymes alot while making no sense that's all it needs....poetry? has anyone seen the fucking poetry section? it's a goddamn disgrace!! ....did people forget what a fucking poem is? go look at it...I gaurantee you...GAURANTEE...you will find some douchebag...who thinks writing a verse with no stanzas, rhymes, internal rhymes, or haiku....is a fucking poem....it's NOT....that's called a short story. Get your faggoty ass nose back in the books and learn what the fuck a poem is, because this site has forgetten to write...too much hype...not enough write.

dont really agree with writer's gettin props for mediocre verses though, we tell it like it is. In fact I've even had complaints that voters are being TOO harsh (in PM of course). Check the highlight reel, not really many mediocre writers/punches getting props
it's like I was sayin in chat. We needa be brutally honest, both when something sucks but also give props when they're due and not be stingy with the props
