There's a line, in 2023 America. This isn't 2010 anymore and this isn't 2005 anymore. Most of us are in our 20s and 30s. Some of us are older than that. So we should be able to tell the difference between trolling or having fun, and going too far. Spitacular put it nicely a while ago when he said "no wonder so many people have left the site, when you push them away." I'm not saying we need to be hippies, but we definitely need to treat this like the Hip Hop Community it's meant to be, and not a middle school hallway.

Going forward, we will not be allowing people to tell others to kill themselves aggressively. If Miracle jokingly tells Fresh to kill himself, it's a joke. When someone goes on a 5-10 page tantrum telling you to do it, it's a problem. We will not allow doxing. So no posting someone's address, phone number, social media links ect. I'd recommend keeping your personal life away from the forum. Don't troll members dead relatives. Some people come here and vent because they have nobody to talk to about their issues, don't make them regret it. Respect each other. If you care about this site, you should care about your brothers and sisters here as well. Temporary bans (most likely two days) will be the first warning. Second warning will be a week. If you keep pushing after that, it could be permanent. RB isn't for everyone mentally, but that's also why we're struggling to keep activity, and it needs to change.

That said. For new members to the site. Welcome to rap battles dot com! A fair warning. This is an open community. So while we, the staff, would love for this to be a fun, safe place to write, post music, post our graphics designs, talk about different subjects in life, and get away from real life for a bit... We CANNOT guarantee you won't be trolled or cyber bullied. We will do our best to stop anything from crossing a line that'll push you away but just like any social media, it's bound to happen from time to time. We hope you stick around and we're always just a message away if someone is making you uncomfortable. You can reach out to Wuxia, myself, Kill Spree, Amen or Nohbody. Any of us will help you out, whether it be understanding how the site works or someone harassing you. We want everyone to feel welcome here.

Respect each other, respect the craft. This is it. Most of the other big sites are gone and we're still here, updating it, and trying to keep it together without switching to Xenforo or something else. Keep the site alive, move forward.
