I gotta play this the other day... It was pretty amazing... The only thing i didnt like was the controls was a tid off for me... Punching with R2? Wtf. Wheres the Square button when i need it! I died a few times mashing the square button and getting no results and being shot. I was like... Damn. Other then that i had no problems with this... Even when its doing the cartoonish intro it looks hella amazing.
Id get this if i had a PS3
It started with a kiss and turned out something else,
The blood coils in through my veins, I think of no one else.
I never believed in much, but I believe in this.
I’m incomplete without you, I’d kill to taste your kiss
^ If you have a 360, it's for that too

I am having second thoughts I hate first view mode
when it comes to fighting games or any kind of adventure
game..
Ninja Gaiden and Tomb Raider I love those type
of perspective..
this looks like the most ultimate game man, i seen it before and it looks insane.
no, cuz that shit isn't on the 360 demo. Which is running at 60fps. When you run fast it
beat the demo 2 times tonight
really dope ass game. Once you get the controls down, it feels like your actually free running.
I noticed the same issue comparing Devil May Cry 4 on 360 vs the PS3...
the PS3 has a motion blur to combat aliasing issues or some shit... its not major, but its not there on the 360.
regardless, the game is nuts. i thought it would be dumb at first, till i played the demo
Welcome to reality.
so you would play the whole game first person?
i'm thinkin of renting it first now cus the loading screen with the red animation kinda makes me wanna play the game in 3rd person mode so you can see all the moves, which i think would be far more entertaining than experiencing it first person. i'm pretty sure you'd get bored after a while in that view.
anyone else find the wall jump control a lil basic and elementary? i mean you just press l1 r1 l1 runnin towards a wall but it doesn't feel like u have much control of what you're actually doing, u just press the combo n voila the screen moves so fast ur already on the ledge.
btw i've been playing this constantly tryna mess around the platforms n shit

i dunno if it'd get boring or not, i think for me that would depend on the story...
i have alot of fun just running through the stages... and it seems like a couple different ways to go on the stages too... should be interesting.
But if the story turns out to be predictable... ehh
also one thing i could see that could be bad is the combat... it could get quite repetitive
Welcome to reality.
i just hope it ain't assasin's creed all over again

...Maneuvering through the environments is so satisfying, a wonderful combination of problem solving and hand-eye coordination. Nailing jumps, wall runs, slides and rolls to maintain momentum is always a small pleasure, simply because of how badass the game's swinging camera and motion blur effects make your movements look and feel.
you obviously dont get what I'm saying about the "blur"...
I'm not denying that they used motion blur as a effect of "running fast"...
what I'm saying is it is going to be more prevalent in the ps3 copy...
I said that in devil may cry 4... there is a motion blur used ALOT when dante turns around in circles n shit... that is not there in the 360 version. Cuz the 360 version moves a bit faster than the ps3 version. I noticed it in alot more games on PS3 too. Some games on PS3 run in 30fps, while there 360 counterparts run at 60fps... adding a blur into the games can create a "softening" effect to beat back some of the frame stutter.
Welcome to reality.
I can't say personally cuz I have not played it but all the gameplay vids I've seen of the first person..theres blur.
there is blur.
I'm not saying there isnt. lol. It's there. I played through the demo twice.
But I'm saying that there is probably more "non motion blur" in the PS3 version.
The PS3 has this whole "blur" thing going on with games, it's like a texture smoothing filter they use to cut down "jaggies", or to mask the framerate studder.
I'm just noting what I've noticed in games were i could directly compare the PS3 to the 360.
is it being picky?
yea...
but I play all the games in the higest possible resolution through HDMI... on high def sets. It's noticeable, thats the only reason i mention it.
It wont effect anyone playing the game through anything under a HDMI HD setup.
