Becoming a producer/engineer and making money?

im 27 yrs old....worked since i was 18....
last dec i lost my job, this fukkin recession n shit cant find another lmao...
so at the minute im bored as shit, i have no qualifications, i have no idea what i would be interested in....then i thought of music...i love music...

so serious question to anyone thats been to music school or maybe just has taught themselves how to make dope beats...im just wonderin whats the job market like out their in the music industry...is it sumthin that worth gettin into or is it over saturated?

any advice would be dope

There's plenty of work. Go to school or look for an internship. It takes dedication tho. you can't be the guy that just shows up to get paid.

yea there's all kinds of shit out there. you dont have to just make beats. im sure you could find something that suits you just the same.

Its a lot of hard work my dude. Especially in the beginning stages. I wouldn't call it over saturated because most people are uneducated to the business. The more u know about the BUSINESS, the better chance u have in being sucessful, just like in anything else. I only recommend pursuing it only if u really LOVE music (and I mean really LOVE.... like eat, sleep, breathe, live music). If you don't, all the bullshit you have to put up with is not going to be worth it, just like a regular job.

hey man first off it takes alot of investments, wether it's a new piece of equipment or merchandising, it takes money to make money. But once you start getting clinetel and a name for your self as a producer it will become easier, I mark all y beats lower than other producers so people wanna come to me more than the next man. So there are sacrafices as well.
