spring is in the air
ready to rumble
full blow's
and second wind's gust.
as the brightness dims
roses crumble -
the rain falls like Frazier;
the crowd of clouds
clap like thunder -
flashing lights
lightning flashes...
and all of a sudden
here comes the storm.
would I be mad if
I used to drag,
just to be drug
if I hid myself
just to find myself
if I did everything
left in direction,
& wronged my actions
to learn the right path.
if all tried to scream
through me, mouths-full
so big I couldn't hear myself
if the big picture
was framed in front of me -
& I decided to daydream
would that make me mad?
I am no mad man.
I am sane & not vexed.
the truth
will fix broken promises
& will stand above lies..
but the truth
will make someone mad...

the stars for yards
arcs & dots
twinkle behind the seer's lids.
twilight has ripped you
from your brightness.
deep blue pastures
haybells of feather'd clouds,
& a half moon, for you sir...
serving it's purpose -
or lacking luster at dusk.
mother-nature's breath
caresses your leaves -
bye bye, shade tree..
goodnight.
6571 days
once frail,
and still pale..
these days have aged me,
pretty well..
it's bitter-sweet,
in the sense of wine -
yeah.. we'll go with that one.
hour glasses
seemed to leak in the center,
tears and blood -
one more than the other,
still with equal meaning.
laughs and giggles,
rib breaking jokes
& good times,
we just wish they'd play back -
TV land's re-runs aren't suitable enough,
so our naked memories are the epicenter.
so far i've come,
on this journey, life's journey.
along the way,
i've walked
ran,
tip-toed around nerving obsticles,
& jogged out of breath.
it just made my
legs and days, stronger than ever.
stopping only temporarily
brake dust that won't break,
my wisdom accumulates still
today...
until next time..
but for now, i'll live in this year.
Really liking the collection.
The 30-day series of poems idea is good. It gives no pressure to 'polish' with another person's eye in mind, or nthing like that, helping you(and me) just write. Thats what I get from these.
'Mid-night shade tree' has a lot of beauty to it. I take it you are actually addressing the dusk, with he tree in sight. Pretty good descriptive yet expressive use of writing. I enjoyed it.
You're 18, I make from the last poem. Yeah, thas what life is about. I loved he hourglass imagery. Really interesting and memorable.
Keep em coming.
