netcees is the continuation of rapmusic dotcom. a big chunk of the rm archives are located there so it felt like a natural place for me. only reason i’m even here is because Spree used to respond to every nc callout thread with “i’ll battle you over on rapbattles” lol.

this site’s grown on me since joining though.

as far as activity’s concerned, nc has been more consistent. Baron Mynd ran multiple tourneys there in the latter half of ‘24 while this site started a few tournaments but only one managed to get completed, and even that was marred by controversy & voting issues. that made it more fun though honestly.

ransom writers tourney is still going on but it’s a ghost of what it started out as due to many dropouts & hardly anyone voting.

at the end of the day, i’m just tryna rap & i’ll take any opportunity to do so, so having access to sites where that’s possible is what i’m tryna achieve.

don’t let the fact that it’s twitter make you dismiss it. i had my reservations too but speaking objectively, the competitive aspect & live-event style of battling is a higher caliber than what goes on here where it takes weeks for niggas to post 6-10 lines.

it’s not called the “twitter battle league” by the way lol. it’s called the Earn Respect Battle League, or ERBL.. MV’s battled there too, we were on the same card together.

besides, dudes like Danny Myers & A. Ward have battled in the same league so there’s definitely some clout behind the name.

i want to post some completed battles in the open mic for general feedback & so people can see what it’s like but i’d probably need to ask someone for permission first.

See here now, when one lives long enough one can make fairly accurate assumptions based upon the premise at hand.

For example, one could assume a book club meeting would be an event where secondhand ideas are exchanged or a car meet would be where automotive knowledge will be displayed and exhibited.

However, there are sometimes much easier ways to gather information like a confession which you just did.
